Darren ist seit 1991 professioneller Schlagzeuger. Er hat unter anderem mit Chaka Khan, Joss Stone, The Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Guthie, Berverly Knight, Omar und Roy Arres gearbeitet. Darren schreibt eine monatliche Kolumne im englischen Drummer Magazin, ist Lehrer am London Istitute of Contemporary Music und hat seine eigene Drum Lesson Academy. Er findet daneben sogar noch Zeit für seinen eigenen Drum Lesson Podcast und gelegentliche Tourneen!
